Solis Rusted Iron

A patinated variant of my Solis sculpture is available in Rusted Iron.

Due to the oxidization of the patina each sculpture will be unique in its formation however, I will ensure that each piece has a uniform patina as seen in the images.

Inspired by the ancient religions of early human societies and their worship of the sun. Solar deities and Sun worship can be found throughout most of recorded history in various forms.
In Egypt, the sun God was called Amun-Ra; in Mesopotamia, Shamash; and in Canaan, Shemesh.
The Sun is sometimes referred to by its Latin name Sol,
it was the largest object in the sky. Its brilliance was overpowering, and its heat could destroy.

Cold casting is the process of suspending real metal powders within a resin binder, the surface can then be burnished back to expose the metal in the cast, making it possible to achieve many metal finishes.
